Campsite Kapinovski Monastery is located next to the Veselina river shore, in the vicinity of the Kapinovski monastery “Saint Nikolay Wonderworker” and about 20 km away south from the old Bulgarian capital city – Veliko Tarnovo. You will find us easily by following the Velchevo village route, which is about 5 km away from the camping. We advise you to plan your journey either via the village of Prisovo or the town of Debelets. The camping territory is flat and forest, surrounded by high rocky hills. The natural landmark - the Kapinovski waterfall is in immediate proximity. The picturesque region is placed in the foot of the Elena Balkan range, only a few kilometers away from the Yovkovtsi dam, which is one of the biggest and prettiest dams in Bulgaria. Just 2km away, on the way towards Velchevo village is situated another landmark - the Plakovsky monastery “Saint Ilia, the Prophet” built during the time of King Ivan Asen II.
